Trés central, à deux pas de via Toledo à hauteur du Banco di Napoli. Hotel flambant neuf et trés bien tenu dans un vieil immeuble rénové. Chambres mignon avec tout le confort. Celle qui donnent sur le vico sont calmes grace aux volets intérieurs en bois. Au 4° étage, 2 chambres avec une terrasse privative fleurie et ravissante. Les chambres 18 et 28 conviendront aux familles car elles possédent un lit double plus deux autres sur le mezzanine. Belles salles de petit dej' de style rustique. Accueil très agréable.

The Hotel Il Convento, next to the shrine of Santa Maria Francesca in the historic heart of Naples, is tucked in the maze of narrow, alley-like streets that make up the interesting old Spanish quarter of the city. The location is excellent, with many of the most interesting places to visit very close to the hotel. Just two blocks away is the Via Toledo that leads down to one of Italy’s most colorful squares, the Piazza del Plebiscito, where you can visit the Royal Palace and San Carlo Theater. The Hotel Il Convento, originally a 17th century palace, has been skillfully renovated to maintain its original architectural features while introducing modern comforts. You enter through a stone, arched doorway into a small lobby, where instead of a formal check-in counter, you are warmly greeted at an antique wood desk. Throughout the hotel wrought-iron accents, terracotta floors, and rustic antiques set an inviting, casual ambiance. Just off the reception area there is a cozy, wood-paneled bar; a welcome place to have a quiet drink. Upstairs, a buffet breakfast is set out each morning on a handsome wooden-trestle table. The spacious, immaculate guestrooms are attractively furnished. Our favorite guestroom, 44, has its own secluded, walled terrace complete with wrought-iron furniture and pretty potted plants.

Situé dans les quartiers espagnols à deux pas de via Toledo, l'hotel doit son nom au couvent de Santa Maria Francesca delle cinque piaghe qui est situé juste ò coté. Idéal pour se balader dans le vieux Naples grace à sa position très centrale, cet hotel  propose des chambres équipées avec tout le confort nécessaire.

In a 17th-century palazzo tucked away in the Quartieri Spagnoli, Il Convento is conveniently close to Via Toledo. Rooms are small but elegant, with original architectural features such as arched or beamed ceilings. They are decorated in simple, modern Mediterranean style. Two junior suites have private roof gardens. Pros: Close to cafés and shops, free Internet access. Cons: Church bells may wake you in the morning, on a busy street.

Taking its name from the neighbouring convent, the Convento is a soothing blend of antique Tuscan furniture, erudite book shelves and candle-lit stairs. Rooms are cosy and elegant, combining creamy tones and dark woods with patches of 16th-century brickwork. The hotel is wheelchair accessible.
